Our yearly keepwild! climbing days are made for trad climbers of different levels to exchange about trad climbing and more. The aim is to learn new things and to have a good time climbing together. Are you interested in joining? The event is now cult.
Finally – the keepwild! climbing days 2021 are coming up. The base camp will be set up this year in the crack climbing paradise of Cadarese (IT). The routes range from 4b to 8a, from clean to «defused» and from the old classic to the new tour. The granite is fabulous! «entschärft»
When and where?
From 8 to 10 October 2021
Camping Aleste, Cadarese di Premia
How to get there: Camping directly at the bus stop Cadarese
What and and for whom?
Social clean climbing meeting. Participants climb on their own responsibility. Everyone is responsible for their own personal climbing equipment, test material will be provided by Wild Country. For those who want to refresh/expand their climbing in cracks with friends, wedges and co., there will be a workshop on crack climbing and one on setting mobile belays.
Basically, the event is open to all climbing levels, but there is honestly little below 5c in Cadarese. The ratings in Cadarese are strict and crack climbing is probably rather unfamiliar to most. Besides climbing together, short inputs about the work of Mountain Wilderness Switzerland, clean climbing and a best-picture-contest with attractive prizes are planned.
We travel independently and, if possible, by public transport. This is uncomplicated and inexpensive from Domodossola by bus in the direction of Ponte Formazza (45 min, approx. € 4.–) to the Cadarese stop. We will spend the nights at the cozy campsite Aleste in the reserved Mountain Wilderness Area (please bring your own tent). Breakfast will be served in the café opposite the campsite (€ 5.– per person per day).
There is a possibility to store climbing gear and other valuables in a lockable room (liability is nevertheless declined by Mountain Wilderness and Camping Aleste).
Since this year more than ever it is a meeting and not a package deal, Mountain Wilderness does not charge a participation fee. At Camping Aleste Mountain Wilderness Switzerland has reserved an area for all participants. You can pitch your tent there. The participants pay for the camping and breakfast themselves on site. In the evening we use the offer of fine restaurants. If you prefer to cook yourself, you can of course do so.
